Here's a little more information about Founder/Program Director:

Laura Carr, M.S., B.C.B.A., L.B.A. is the Founder/Director of Applied Behavior Building Blocks.  Laura has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) 
and a Licensed Behavior Analyst through Virginia’s Board of Medicine.  Laura has also held previous licensure as a Limited License Psychologist in the state of Michigan. 
Laura has a passion for working with children and has over 25 years of experience teaching and working with children in various capacities, including providing direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Laura is dedicated to improving the lives of families affected by children and adults with significant behavioral issues by providing quality ABA services in a timely and professional manner. Laura has a demonstrated track record of decreasing problematic behavior and increasing functional skills, communication and other adaptive behaviors in both child and adult clients.

Laura’s experience includes the following:

* 10 years of experience developing behavior plans for children and adults with behavior difficulties including those individuals with Autism, traumatic brain injuries and a variety of developmental disabilities.
  * 2 years experience conducting neuropsychological testing and academic testing
* 3+ years of experience as the Director of Behavioral Services at a private day placement school for children with severe behavior difficulties

In her personal life, she has two beautiful daughters, including her youngest daughter that she adopted in 2013 who has Sensory Processing Disorder and ADHD.  It is her belief that all children need to be given every opportunity to grow and advance to their highest potential.
